Crayon Drawing Art Lesson

Turn one of the Elements of Art into a fun, engaging drawing lesson! Students will learn how to draw adorable crayons with expressive faces while exploring different kinds of lines.

Each crayon becomes its own unique character and "draws" a different type of line, helping children understand and remember the many ways artists use lines in their artwork. From zigzags and spirals to wavy, dotted, curved, and straight lines, this project combines creativity with an important art concept.

This is a great lesson for the beginning of the year because it reviews colors, and line. Only tempera paint sticks and oil pastels needed! Super easy, fast (always trying to get a bulletin board up quickly in the beginning of the school year), and easy clean up!
